Linden Oaks: Personalized Education and Therapy Approach

At Linden Oaks, we embrace a legacy of over 70 years dedicated to transforming lives and nurturing potential. We recognize that each student and client faces unique challenges, and our mission is to provide exceptional education and therapy services tailored to their individual needs.

Our approach begins with early intervention, supporting children from birth to age three through play-based activities that develop essential skills in communication, joint attention, and social interaction. Through speech and occupational therapy services, we empower families to extend this progress at home.

As a Non-Public School (NPS), we collaborate with public education districts to serve students from kindergarten to age 22. Our multidisciplinary team develops individualized strategies that foster independence across home, school, and community settings. Programs such as our STEM lab and social skills training equip students with the tools to navigate relationships and pursue their aspirations.

We integrate sign language and other AAC strategies into our curriculum, enhancing communication for both students who are deaf and those on the autism spectrum, fostering greater self-expression and engagement. Our passionate and highly skilled staff work closely with each student, ensuring they receive the individualized support necessary for success.

Our services have expanded to now offer innovative clinic-based and in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services designed to help children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties develop new skills and improve their quality of life by focusing on communication, social interaction, self-care, and independence. ABA is personalized to each individual’s needs and goals, offering flexible interventions that can be applied across various environments, including home, school, and community settings.

We have also developed an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) designed for adolescents and teens who need more mental health support than traditional weekly psychotherapy but do not require inpatient care. Through individual therapy, group sessions, and holistic wellness care, we are here to support a healthy transition for teens to flourish in their academic settings while maintaining their privacy as they access our program.

Beyond the classroom, our adult day program continues to uphold this commitment to personalized care, offering services that promote independence and meaningful community participation. From adaptive living skills to health and fitness programs, we create opportunities for lifelong growth and connection. For adults requiring ongoing support, our tailored programs focus on communication skills and social reintegration, ensuring they continue to thrive.

At Linden Oaks, we believe in the power of possibility. Every individual we serve has unique strengths, and we are committed to fostering an environment where they can reach their full potential. Our work is more than a mission—it is a legacy of empowerment, inclusion, and transformation that we proudly carry forward each day.
